FunaJobs is Malawi's AI-assisted job and internship matching platform, built to connect job seekers and employers across the country.

Why "Funa"?

In Chichewa, funa means "to seek." Funa ntchito means to seek work, and funa munthu means to seek a person to hire. That one word captures exactly what this platform is for — whichever side of the search you're on.

What we're building

Most job platforms are built for markets with fast internet, expensive smartphones, and card payments. FunaJobs is built for Malawi as it actually is: light on data, works on low-end Android phones, and designed around how people here already communicate and pay — including support for Airtel Money and Mpamba.

Beyond matching, FunaJobs uses AI to help job seekers polish their CVs and cover letters, and helps employers find candidates based on real fit, not just keyword matching.

Where we are today

FunaJobs is currently in early access. We're building out the full platform while welcoming waitlist signups from job seekers and employers across Malawi. Early waitlist members will be first in line once matching opens.
